Welcome to The Elevated Edge

For a long time, I felt like a background character in my story, always overlooked and blending into the background, unnoticed and unremarkable. This wasn't about others failing to see me; I couldn't see my worth. My life was a series of motions and routines without a real connection to who I was or what I wanted to achieve. This story isn't about an overnight transformation or a sudden realization that changed everything. It's a tale of gradual self-discovery, reflection, and a significant personal and professional shift. It's about how I moved from aimlessness and self-invisibility to finding my true calling in nurturing the growth and development of others.

After college, I felt lost in adulthood, holding onto my finance degree like a lifeline. While my peers seemed to have clear directions and purposes, I struggled to recognize my strengths and felt burdened by purposelessness. Despite having the necessary education and skills, I lacked passion and felt disconnected from the life I was leading.

My early career choices in Financial Services and Asset Management were driven more by obligation and societal expectations than genuine interest. Even after securing jobs and dedicating myself to my duties, deep down, I knew something was missing. The path I was on felt disconnected from my true self. It wasn't until being laid off that I was forced to face these feelings directly.

The turning point came with the stark realization that no one was coming to save me. I had been waiting passively for an external force to give my life meaning. This moment of clarity made me understand that only I could change my narrative of mediocrity. The journey to becoming the hero of my own story had to start from within.

Losing my job opened up a space for introspection and self-discovery. For the first time as an adult, I had the chance to pause and reflect on what I truly wanted, leading to the realization that my passion wasn't in finance but in sales—a field I had never before considered.

Transitioning to sales was challenging. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, requiring me to embrace uncertainty and learn new skills. Sales, focusing on communication and relationship building, offered me a new way to connect with others and discover my ability to inspire and help others grow.

This newfound passion for personal and professional development became the foundation of my career. Mentoring others and helping them unlock their potential brought me immense satisfaction and made me feel seen for the first time. I had found my purpose, voice, and place in the world.

The journey from feeling invisible to finding my passion in developing others taught me the importance

of self-reflection and understanding what truly drives and fulfills you. It showed me that chan while intimidating, is full of opportunities for growth and self-discovery. The end of my finance career, which once felt like a setback, led to a more fulfilling chapter in my life.

Perhaps the most profound realization was the impact of helping others on my own sense of purpose. Seeing those I've mentored achieve their goals has been incredibly rewarding, highlighting our capacity to positively influence others and enrich our own lives.

My journey from aimlessness to purpose and drive has been long and challenging but also incredibly rewarding. I've learned it's never too late to change your path and make a meaningful impact. If my story can inspire even one person to follow their heart, then all the struggles will have been worth it.

Reflecting on my transformation, I see it as a journey from feeling invisible to becoming a driving force in my own life and the lives of others. It was about recognizing and harnessing my inner power, rewriting my story with self-acceptance, perseverance, and a relentless pursuit of growth. By sharing my story, I hope to inspire those who feel invisible, uncertain, and lost. Your inner hero is waiting to be discovered, and together, we can transform today's challenges into tomorrow's triumphs, moving from invisible to invincible.

I love that last line about finding your inner hero. We all defintely have that potential inside of us. It's about finding a way to unlock it and live the life we always wanted, even if it may look different than what we could have ever dreamed up..
