For a long time, I felt like a background character in my story, always overlooked and blending into the background, unnoticed and unremarkable. This wasn't about others failing to see me; I couldn't see my worth. My life was a series of motions and routines without a real connection to who I was or what I wanted to achieve. It's a tale of gradual self-discovery, reflection, and a significant personal and professional shift. After college, I felt lost in adulthood, holding onto my finance degree like a lifeline. While my peers seemed to have clear directions and purposes, I struggled to recognize my strengths and felt burdened by purposelessness. My early career choices in Financial Services and Asset Management were driven more by obligation and societal expectations than genuine interest.
